PICKUPS
Please be ready by your scheduled pickup time so as to avoid delays for your driver and other passengers. The Dispatch Office advises that you could be picked up 15 minutes before or after your scheduled pickup time. Passengers should wait where they can see arrival of the transportation vehicle.
PASSENGER ASSISTANCE
FRS Transportation provides "curb to curb" service ("door to door" service provided upon request).
- Drivers will assist passengers upon boarding and unboarding vehicles
- Drivers will then watch to ensure clients are safely within the facility or home before leaving
- Wheelchair clients must have a safe, legal and easily accessible ramp for the drivers to be able to provide assistance
- Drivers will tie down wheelchairs, secure all assistance mobility devices and assist with seatbelts and car seats as needed
- Service animals must be under owner's control. No other animals are allowed on board.
Your safety and that of our drivers are always of the utmost importance.
Rider Policies ensure things run smoothly from scheduling a trip, to your timely arrival at your destination and safe return home. Therefor, to ensure a pleasant experience for clients and drivers the following
guidelines need to be followed:
- No smoking (or the use of other tobacco products)
- No food or drinks
- No alcohol, drugs or weapons
- No disruptive behavior (could result in loss of transportation priviledges)
- Seat belts must be worn at ALL times by ALL passengers
- Children under the age of four (4) or weigh less than forty (40) pounds must be secured in a
federally-approved child safety seat provided by the parent/guardian. Children ages four to eight and under
4 ft 9 inches must be secured in a booster seat provided by the parent/guardian.
- An adult must accompany children (under the age of eighteen) except where contractually obligated
- Do not expect excessive driver assistance. A Personal Care Attendant (PCA) may ride for free.
This may be a family member, friend, neighbor, etc.
- Drivers are NOT permitted to enter a client's residence
- Be courteous and respectful of other passengers and their personal property
